After canceling his participation in Rock in Rio, singer Luan Santana regretted and apologized to his fans for his absence on the night of last Saturday (21), when he was supposed to perform with other country singers.

In a post on social media, the artist published a video with people waiting for his show with t-shirts and posters showing their love for him.

“The best fans in the world. I couldn’t wait to meet you on Palco Mundo. It wasn’t this time. I was ready for you,” wrote Luan Santana.

The singer decided not to perform at the event. The country singer would be one of the main names of the Para Sempre Brasil night, and he would sing with Chitãozinho e Xororó, Júnior Lima, Ana Castela, among others.

The information was initially given by Billboard Brasil and confirmed by F5 with the singer’s press office. In a statement, Santana blamed the festival’s production and said he was taken by surprise by the change. According to the report, Luan was scheduled to perform a show in São José, in the metropolitan region of Santa Catarina, at 10:30 pm.

The show in Santa Catarina is solo and Luan was paid a normal show fee, unlike what happened at Rock in Rio. The contract termination fee for the show in the South was higher than the one for the festival. The festival’s production confirmed the fact after the report was published.
