Iris Mittenaere, Miss France and Miss Universe 2016, denounced her boyfriend, Bruno Pelat, for domestic violence last Tuesday (24). The businessman was arrested and taken into custody at the 18th arrondissement police station in Paris, which opened an investigation.
According to the French press, the Public Ministry reported that the complaint reached the authorities through a digital platform to support victims of violence. Miss reported having been raped at her boyfriend’s house in the early hours of Tuesday.
Bruno Pelat will be tried this Friday afternoon (27) for “domestic conjugal violence” and “illicit use of narcotics”, according to the Le Parisien. The 22-year-old boy is described as “son of a real estate tycoon” by the French press.
Iris was crowned Miss France 2016 and Miss Universe in the same year. She has been a radio and TV presenter and is now a fashion influencer with 3.4 million followers. A few hours before making the complaint, she attended the Etam fashion show at Paris Fashion Week.
The couple began their romance last European summer. In May, the influencer announced that she had ended a four-year relationship with Diego El Glaoui and did not make any posts about the new affair.
