Gymnast Jade Barbosa got married this Saturday (28) to Leandro Ferlini. The ceremony took place in São Paulo and was attended by athletes such as Flávia Saraiva and Rebeca Andrade, who were Olympic medalists alongside Barbosa at the Paris Olympics.
The couple has been together for more than five years. The love story began, according to the gymnast’s social media posts, at Carnival 2019.
The ceremony was held in an apartment, which was decorated for the event with flowers in shades of yellow and purple. On Instagram, Jade shared videos of her dress, which had white flowers on the back, and the complete outfit, including jewelry, hair and makeup.
There is a record of excerpts from the couple’s vows. “We have a very beautiful five-year history. And I’m very excited to continue and build this family. My future with you will be very beautiful,” said Ferlini.
“Thank you for being my companion, because I know that, at the end of this life, what we will have is exactly that: our company. I love you immensely with everything I have. And I love your thirst for life, your your courage, mainly, your curiosity. I hope that we can live our Carnival forever”, said Barbosa during the vows.
Friend and co-worker, gymnast Flávia Saraiva published photos of the celebration on social media and wished the newlyweds happiness. Rebeca Andrade, the greatest Brazilian Olympic athlete, did the same. “Thank you for allowing me to live this moment with you,” she wrote on Instagram.
