A man from North Texas bought a signed guitar of hers Taylor Swift up for auction and then destroyed it, apparently in a political protest in support of the US vice president and presidential candidate, Kamala Harris by the singer.
According to WFAA News, the man bought the guitar for $4,000 during an auction held by the nonprofit Ellis County Wild Game Dinner in Waxahachie, Texas last Saturday. Video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows the man approaching the guitar and smashing it with a hammer.

A spokesman for Ellis County Wild Game told WFAA that the man’s action was not “malicious.” “He just made a light-hearted statement that showed people’s disapproval of the entertainment industry trying to influence politics.”

“It was just a funny thing that happened at our annual event. People thought it was hilarious.” added the agency representative. “Importantly, 100% of the money raised goes directly to local youth training programs and rural education programs. At the end of the day, the kids win and will benefit from it.” noted.
American media comment that it is not clear if this is what the former US president, who is running for a new term in the White House, Donald Trump, meant when he warned that the Taylor Swift would pay a price for her support of Kamala Harris.
