Mother of actress Mel Maia, 20, and dentistry student Yasmin Maia, 24, Debora Maia used social media to vent about her daughters. Without giving details, she explained that the family relationship is shaken.
“Sad for several absurd things, but I’ll tell you: all the love that was given was converted into ingratitude, and that for people you would never suspect”, wrote Debora, who then added “I feel like rubbish in front of the my daughters, who chose the unknown over their mother’s love.”
Neither Mel nor her sister spoke publicly about the situation, which had repercussions among internet users this Saturday (5).
Mel has been working since she was 5 years old. She debuted on Globo as Nina in the special “O Relógio da Aventura” (2010). Two years later, she gained national fame when she played the child version of the protagonist Rita (Débora Falabella) in “Avenida Brasil” (2012). Afterwards, he starred in “Joia Rara” (2013), winner of the International Emmy for best soap opera in 2014.
Since then, the actress has managed to stay in the spotlight with roles in several TV and film productions. Her most recent works are the serial “Vai na Fé” (2023), in which she played the influencer and law student Guiga, and the Netflix series “Sem Filtro”, in which she played the character Lohana.
