Vera Viel, who turns 49 this Saturday (12), underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her leg. She is admitted to the Albert Einstein hospital, in São Paulo.
The influencer and wife of Rodrigo Faro was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma in her left thigh. This is a type of cancer that affects the connective tissues, close to the joints.
The presenter, via social media, updated fans about her health status. “My Vera came back to me. After eight hours of surgery. First battle won. Thank you for the millions of prayers,” wrote Faro.
Together for 27 years and married for 21, Faro and Vera Viel are parents of three girls: Clara, 18, Maria, 15, and Helena, 11.
Last week, Vera underwent a biopsy to investigate the nature of the tumor. “Two weeks ago, I felt a lump on my left thigh, we rushed to do some tests. We came to the hospital and the doctors decided to do a biopsy. We have already left it in God’s hands”, she wrote at the time.
Next Sunday (13), Hora do Faro (Record) will be presented by Adriane Galisteu, who is replacing her colleague during the delicate moment in the family.
