In the case of “Rust,” its recently announced premiere at the Camerimage International Film Festival in Poland is bittersweet and controversial. The film, in which the 66-year-old stars Alec Baldwinis overshadowed by an infamous incident: an off-set shooting by the actor that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

His first on-camera role, playing a young doctor in the soap opera ‘The Doctors’, matched his good looks and lack of experience. His luck had changed. Fame came with its own challenges. While filming the soap opera in Oregon, Baldwin overdosed on cocaine in a hotel room. Baldwin tried to distance himself from television and soon began making brief appearances in major motion pictures. He played Melanie Griffith’s goofy boyfriend in ‘Working Girl’, starred alongside Michelle Pfeiffer in ‘Married to the Mob’ and more.
