For the “Dark Decade 1964-1974”, among other things, they wrote:
“Alexis Papachelas proves once again to be an excellent obstetrician. What is the aftertaste of the first episode? That, in my opinion, the state and political actors of Greece at that time excelled in an art. In the art of sleepwalking.” Christos Chomenidis, @facebook.com/christos.chomenidis, 14/10/2024
“The Dark Decade is a must watch series. I only hope that after 50 years of Postcolonialism, we are now mature enough to see our mistakes, understand them and promise never to repeat them.” Angeliki Birbilis, Athensvoice.gr, 14/10/2024
“Another excellent documentary series from Alexis Papahelas. The first episode lasted an hour and was, I repeat, excellent. It even reached the period of apostasy. Dense in narrative, it had a fast pace and many and varied sources.” Dimitris Kanellopoulos, E-tetradio.gr, 06/10/2024
“Alexis Papachelas, with the prestige and credibility that distinguishes him, manages to present the events with objectivity and clarity, helping the viewer to understand the complex political situation of that time.” George Skrompolas, Zappit.gr, 13/10/2024
“The great journalist essentially records unseen aspects of modern Greek history, illuminating unknown behind-the-scenes of its most turbulent decade. The production is of a high standard and combines dozens of excerpts from the archive of Alexis Papachelas, while for the first time rare audio documents from conversations in the White House and from the fateful Greek war council of July 20 are made public. If you’re a fan of the genre, I highly recommend it.” Konstantinos Antonatos, Yupiii.gr, 04/10/2024
“Alexis Papachelas has proven himself to be the best in investigative journalism. Both with the “Files”, and now with the “Dark Decade 1964-1974”. With excellent interviews, exhaustive research and opening of files, as the years have passed, Papahelas brings to light aspects of cases that showed how intertwined they were – “the holy trinity” -, the army, the politicians and of course the Americans…» Depy Golema, Taki Kerias, AFTERNOON, 03/10/2024
“And this is the value of the documentary from the very first minutes: We watch without gaps and gaps the real protagonists of the events and not a caricature of them. In this way, the series respects the viewer: it does not try to patronize him and guide his judgment. After all, when you see all the facts laid out in front of you, you can draw conclusions.” Protagon Team, Protagon.gr, 13/10/2024
“Finishing the screening of the first episode, “Dark Decade 1964-1974”, the impression it left us is that it is a careful work with the stamp of Papahelas. It is not a documentary that pretentiously wants to impress, but it impresses with the aspects it presents.» Newsbeast.gr, Newsroom, 02/10/2024
“He writes History… A great journalistic work by Alexis Papachelas.” Hellasjournal.com, 02/10/2024
