One of Liam Payne’s sisters published photos alongside the singer, who died on Wednesday (16) after falling from the balcony of the hotel where he was staying in Argentina.

In a tribute published on Instagram, Ruth Gibbins stated that her brother had gone through difficult times in recent years and that the former One Direction member had to be strong to overcome them.

“I don’t feel like the world has been good or kind enough to you. You just wanted to be loved and make people happy with your music. You never believed you were good enough. I hope you can see how much love you are receiving, which he never received in his lifetime.”

She apologized to her brother for not being able to save him. “One last time, I want you to know that I’m here if you need anything.”

Ruth also recalled moments after the formation of the band and said that she would pick him up in the car after the shows. In these moments, the singer showed her new songs and made her laugh like no one else.

“Liam was born with music in his veins and it was clear from a young age. He had that ability that would make him a star. My brain is still trying to understand what happened and where you went. I love you.”

The singer leaves behind his parents, two sisters and his son, Bear, aged seven.
