Action movie fans have a special reason to thank her Eva Longoria (Eva Longoria) for the success of one of the most famous franchises of all time, ‘John Wick’.

In a recent interview, the show’s producers revealed that the Golden Globe-nominated actress and producer played a key role in financing the first film.

“We were in the last week of production and had a $6 million loss,” noted Chad Stahelski to Business Insider.

“We had independent financing…and one of the investors couldn’t raise the money in time.”

As the CAA was trying to raise the amount, she offered some of her own actors a chance to invest. In return, they would be the first to get their money back.

“[Η Eva] he came to our rescue and secured the money literally in less than 24 hours before we closed the doors on the film and left,” continued Stahelski, who learned of their “secret” savior along with David Leitch from producer Basil Iwanyk (Basil Iwanyk).

And despite the fact that they had never met they invited her to dinner at Chateau Marmont to please her.

Notably, the 2014 film grossed more than $86 million worldwide, while the franchise topped $1 billion in theaters last year with Chapter 4.

According to Deadline, the franchise will continue with the new film “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” starring Ana de Armas. Directed by Len Wiseman, it is expected to hit theaters on June 6, 2025.
