Maíra Cardi, 38, spoke once again about her relationship with her husband, Arthur Aguiar, 33, who is confined to Big Brother Brasil 2022. This time, the coach said that she asked the actor if he wanted to enter the reality show single or married.
“The BBB is a challenge for anyone […] You spend three months in prison, away from everything you like, vulnerable, needy… Anything can happen, nobody knows”, Maíra declared in a video on Instagram. “We’ve seen several stories of married people who came in and were vulnerable and it went bad. It can happen, it’s the human being”, she continued, citing Adriana Sant’anna from BBB 11, who she used to date, but got involved with Rodrigão in the reality show.
She explained that when she decided to resume her relationship with Arthur, the two waited to let the public know because they were still deciding whether to really continue their romance.
“When he received the invitation [para o BBB], my first reaction was to be really happy for him, and my second reaction was, ‘So, what do you want? Want to get married? He wants to go single,'” he said. “The first thing he said was, ‘No, you’re the most important person in my life, with my daughter. I want to rebuild my family. Without your support I will never enter. I really want to get married.”
According to Maíra, Arthur also wanted to enter avowedly committed, without hiding the relationship, which was still recovering from the controversies involving the actor’s betrayal. She said she trusts him, but that she wouldn’t want to ruin her partner’s image if something happened.
