Grimes, 33, has inadvertently revealed that she had a second baby with Elon Musk in secret. The news was discovered and announced by Vanity Fair magazine, which interviewed the singer at her home and heard a baby crying upstairs.
The reporter in question asked about the crying, since the first child – and, until then, the only one known to the public – was out of the house with his father.
Grimes then took on the new member of the family. The singer revealed that the name of her daughter, born in December 2021 through a surrogate, is Exa Dark Sideræl, but that they call her “Y” (while their first child is called “X”).
The couple, who had separated months before the girl’s birth, “resumed” the relationship. Asked if she and Musk would be together, Grimes said “Yes and no”.
“There’s no right word for it. I’d probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. We have our own things going on and I don’t expect others to. people understand,” she explained to the publication. “We just need to be free.”
To the magazine, she also stated that she always wanted to have “at least three or four” children with Elon Musk.
