The National Opera is expanding its social policy by launching the new action Lyriki for all. In the context of its joint vision with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for artistic extroversion and the further expansion of its audience, the National Opera will offer 10,000 free seats at shows in the Hall Stavros Niarchosto people 17-22 years old, people over 65 years old, people with many children and our unemployed fellow citizens. The action is implemented with an exclusive donation from the SNF.

In recent years the National Opera has offered more than 30,000 free tickets in general tests and performances, to our unemployed fellow citizens, as well as to people with disabilities. Now, with the support of the new two-year donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), the Greek Greek Orthodox Church is expanding its social policy with the new Lyric for All program, in the context of which it will give 10,000 beneficiaries the opportunity to get to know the lyric art and the ballet, through the free viewing of its performances in the Stavros Niarchos Hall, for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 artistic seasons. The program is addressed to people aged 17-22, people over 65, large families and our unemployed fellow citizenswho from November 7, 2024 will be able to register at www.nationalopera.gr/lyrikigiaolous. The 10,000 free seats at ELLS performances will be allocated through an electronic lottery system, which ensures the integrity of the process.

By registering on the platform, each beneficiary will be able to indicate their preference for the show or shows they would like to attend. For each performance, a certain number of free seats will be available – as part of the Lyriki for all action – in all seating areas of the Stavros Niarchos Hall. For each production presented in the Stavros Niarchos Hall, a separate lottery will be held and the beneficiaries will be informed if they have been drawn. Each of the spectators drawn for the free seats will be able to invite a second person of their choice.

The draws for the 2024/25 season will take place as follows:

  • 14/11 draw for the performances of the double opera Aleko – The Tower of Cyanopogon
  • 26/11 draw for Don Quixote performances
  • 28/11 draw for Boehm’s performances
  • 6/12 draw for the Force of Destiny shows
  • 8/1 draw for Tchaikovsky performances
  • 28/1 draw for the Flora mirabilis shows
  • 18/2 draw for Lucia di Lammermoor performances
  • 26/3 draw for the performances of the Golden Age

Upon completion of registration on the platform, each registrant will automatically receive a card for free online viewing of three ELS shows on the GNO TV platform.
