A revelation about his life and the reasons that led him to seek help through psychotherapy was made by Panagiotis Raphaelidis talking to Olga Lafazani and the show “Happy Day”.

“Now you see a much improved version of me. I started psychotherapy, because I wrong myself for a long time and prioritize the feeling and will of others. I had issues to resolve from the past, from my childhood”, Panagiotis Rafailidis said initially and continued:

“I lost a brother when I was young. We were a year apart, I was 2 and a half. We lost him to a head tumor, which was benign, but the baby couldn’t handle the surgery. He was very small.

This worked for me disastrously. When a little brother you play with all day disappears and you see crying, blackness and sadness in the house, there is something I didn’t know. It’s called “survivor’s remorse.” You feel that it is your fault that you are alive and your little brother is “gone”. You don’t think about it but it works inside you.

That was the beginning of me putting myself down and pushing him aside, thinking that I don’t deserve many things. So when I realized that it wasn’t all my fault, a lot of things fell into place. Even in my relationships I didn’t choose the right people because I felt they didn’t deserve me”
