Leandro Lima celebrated this Thursday (7) an action by the São Paulo Civil Police that recovered his blue Beetle. The car, called the diamond by the actor, had been stolen in Lapa, a neighborhood in the west of São Paulo.
He thanked fans for their messages of support and reposts about the robbery. The Beetle was returned intact to Leandro. “They just changed the license plate so it wouldn’t be tracked.”
In a video on social media, the actor showed the car in the courtyard of a police station and said that the vehicle underwent an inspection. Police are looking for clues as to who was responsible for the robbery.
“It’s here in one piece. Just the steering gear is a little stuck,” he said.
Leandro promised to tell, this Friday (8), details about the “saga” to recover the blue Beetle. “It was a very good day, because I found the car,” he said. “And the waiting time was wonderful. It even involved a CSI-like examination.”
The actor even shared on social media a video recorded by security cameras in which a man appears breaking into the car.
The Beetle was restored by Leandro, who declared that he had a lot of affection for the vehicle.
The artist is currently playing, in São Paulo, in the musical “Elvis – A Musical Revolution”, by Miguel Falabella, at Teatro Santander.
It is the only authorized musical biography about the musician’s life.
