Naiara Azevedo refutes accusations of having copied Marília Mendonça in a photo

by

Singer Naiara Azevedo, 32, rebutted criticism from fans of Marília Mendonça, who died in a plane crash in November last year, of having imitated the pose of the queen of suffering in a photo published on Instagram in honor of International Women’s Day.

Naiara sent audios to the program Focalizando (SBT) commenting on the controversy with the photos, saying that they were made to feed social networks during the period in which she was confined at Big Brother Brasil 22.

“These photos that are resonating as a comparison to Marília Mendonça were photos I took to enter the BBB, to use on the day of the wall, on the day I was a leader, on the day I was an angel, on the day of the party” , said the singer.

The singer explained that she took photos for all the occasions of confinement on reality and that she was sending a drive with the photoshoot for the program. “For you to see the photos that were taken and to see that, really, there is absolutely nothing, nothing, nothing to do with the comparison.”

She said that the shoot was amazing and that she will continue to share the photos. “I don’t want to miss this shoot, I don’t want to miss these photos,” she said.

In the networks, netizens came out in defense of Naiara on Twitter saying that Marília Mendonça’s fans took her to Christ. “Marília Mendonça’s fans took Naiara Azevedo to Christ, they are doing everything that Marília didn’t like, which is female rivalry.”

A fan of Naiara invited internet users to protest in favor of the artist. “It would be nice if today or tomorrow all Naiara fans put that picture of her on their profile or take a picture of her with a crown, for 24 hours, in protest and support for Naiara.”
