Gusttavo Lima makes a joke after changing his look: ‘I’m running away from people there’

Singer Gusttavo Lima made a change to his look, shaving his beard and leaving only his mustache. During a show on the island of Comandatuba, in Bahia, this Friday (8), he joked about his new appearance: “I’m running away from some people there.”

A video circulating on social media shows the country singer on stage talking about the change. “It’s good to disguise the collectors,” says a man, who does not appear in the video and was not identified in the report. “Yes, it’s true. I’m running away from people there…”, responds Lima.

The audience laughs and the singer himself laughs too, but soon says nothing: “Let’s sing one more.”

Gusttavo Lima was indicted by the Civil Police of Pernambuco on suspicion of money laundering and criminal organization, in the context of operation Integration, which led to the arrest of businesswoman and digital influencer Deolane Bezerra.

On September 23, the singer was arrested on suspicion of helping fugitives from the investigation to stay out of the country. The determination was revoked the following day by the Court. The countryman was outside Brazil and was never arrested.

In October, the Pernambuco Public Ministry pointed out in an opinion that there was a lack of evidence of crime on the part of the singer, in a decision that shows a divergence with the Civil Police.

This Friday (8), barbers Edson Oliveira and Maiky Correa shared a video with the result of Gusttavo Lima’s change. “The ambassador gave us a mission: to make a change in appearance. […] Launching a sensational mustache, a retro, European feel, to match this longer hair”, explains Oliveira.

“New look. I couldn’t stand having to shave every day. Now, something more practical”, says Gusttavo Lima after showing off the new appearance.
