21-year-old Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark won her title Miss Universe 2024making history as the first Dane to win the top beauty pageant.
Theilvig, a dancer, entrepreneur and future lawyer, emerged as the winner out of more than 120 contestants in the competition held Saturday night in Mexico City. The new Miss Universe was crowned by outgoing title holder Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua to the applause of the other finalists.

The contestants went through swimsuit and evening gown tests, while the top five answered questions about leadership, resilience and personal life. When asked how she would live differently if there was no criticism, Theilvig replied: “I wouldn’t change anything, I live every day to the fullest”. In closing, he sent a message to viewers: “Keep fighting, no matter where you come from. I stand here tonight because I wanted to change history and I did.”
