Meet Camila Fremder, an influencer who makes fun of ‘clueless’ bloggers

Camila Fremder gets irritated by many things. One of them is the universe of influencers who find their routines interesting to the point of sharing any nonsense with their followers on the networks. Sarcastic, the writer and screenwriter from São Paulo launched a kind of counterattack by satirizing them.

Part of his audience was won over when he vented in a video about bloggers who play guessing games. “‘Where am I going to travel?’. I don’t know, are you going to invite me? with an expression of absolute disinterest. The recording circulated on humor pages and was posted on TikTok in April this year, accumulating almost 710 thousand views.

“I have humor as my ally, cynicism and self-criticism. People never know if I’m really serious, if it’s a criticism or a joke. And I don’t know either. I make fun of myself all the time”, he tells F5. According to Camila, 43, in the video she told herself not to be “the boring one”.

The repercussion was so great that she realized she had a knack for it — one more thing, since since 2019, Camila can be heard on the podcast É Nóia Minha?. “I also work on the internet, I have a launch to talk about, I also want people to guess where I’m traveling. So I’m the first to get mine. If I can handle it, then I’ll give it to others.”

Another aspect that draws attention to her is her relationship with Rita Lee. Camila was married for 10 years to Antonio, the artist’s youngest son with Roberto de Carvalho. They have a son, Arthur, aged six. The identification between the two, he says, has always been great.

“I lived with her for many years. If you add it up, it was 15. Then you start talking about similar things and having similar opinions. Rita always had this grumpy thing and so did I. There was a really nice exchange and the same kind of humor. I didn’t learn from her, I was already like that”, he says.

PODCAST AND ASSOCIATION OF THOSE WITHOUT CHARISMA

Despite defining herself as a person “with limited charisma” (look at the self-criticism she spoke about there), Camila gained a significant audience on social media. Nowadays, she has 396 thousand followers on Instagram and 349 thousand on TikTok. And counting.

The success, according to her, can be explained by the identification of people of different age groups. Despite appearing spontaneous, there is a certain amount of planning at work.

“I try to alternate podcast guests for a wider audience. I know how to work well on each platform,” he says. “And the language of each social network is different.”

On the social video network, for example, she posts brief recordings with random comments and thoughts (she has complained about those who listen to audio at speed 2 and convertible cars, for example). People are enjoying it. “I created such a strong parasocial relationship with Camila Fremder that now I really believe we are close,” wrote the profile @mastromami on X.

Graduated in communications and marketing in 2003, she explored the different places of writing and migrated to different areas. The writer has already worked as a scriptwriter on MTV, on the program Adotada. “Fake news is circulating that I work at Lady Night, owned by Tata Werneck. I saw it in a tweet, but I was too lazy to correct it because the person didn’t tag me.”
