“I’d like to find out how many crazy people I have inside of me,” comments Oscar-nominated actress Emily Blunt
Oscar-nominated actress Emily Blunt has hinted that the sequel to the beloved 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, which will reunite her with Meryl Streep and her brother-in-law Stanley Tucci ), could be in the works.
“There are rumours, there are things developing, but I don’t know if I can confirm anything…But we would all be happy to work together again,” the star said at the 4th Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) which opens today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with the film “The Tale of Daye’s Family” by Karim Shenawi.
Then when asked about the roles he would like to play he said: “I would like not to repeat myself. I’d rather find out how many crazy people I have inside of me,” the star said, emphasizing that she’s looking for “unique voices,” “bold and wild ideas” in scripts and “overly involved characters.”
“I just saw ‘Emilia Pérez’. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. And you can’t call it a musical…it’s a completely unique experience,” he explained.
Blunt also referred to last year’s awards and honors season for “Oppenheimer” describing it as “difficult but enjoyable.”
“We knew we were in one of those one-of-a-kind movies, and when you know that, you’re so proud to be there,” he said. “It’s a bit of a blur, but I remember the joy over anything provocative that happened on Oscar night.”
The actress is one of the Hollywood names that will appear at the Festival such as Viola Davis, Michelle Yeoh, Michael Douglas, Priyanka Chopra, Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Garfield, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jeremy Renner.
According to Deadline, the 4th Red Sea International Film Festival will run until December 15.
