‘Freewheelin’ is a song about the joys of cycling
Alice Cooperthe daughter of Calico Cooper and Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash released a lyric video for their song “Freewheelin'” from Rock for Children’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Solid Rock Revival’. Rock for Children is a musical collective featuring Alice and Calico Cooper, John David Williams, Conrad Varela, Recker Innes and other artists.
Her album ‘Solid Rock Revival’, the proceeds of which will benefit Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers, vocational training centers that inspire teenagers to develop through music, dance and art, is nominated for Best Album for Kids at the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards.
‘Freewheelin’ is a song about the joys of cycling. Interestingly, Alice Cooper has never won a Grammy despite numerous nominations. When asked about the nomination the shock rock legend replied: “Wouldn’t it be the craziest thing for Alice Cooper to get a Grammy for children’s music?”
