Accused of rape in the P. Diddy case, Jay-Z seemed calm last Monday (9), on the red carpet for the film “Mufasa”.
He accompanied Beyoncé, who plays the original voice of Nala in the “Lion King” saga, and her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, 12, who voices the character Kiara. The film premieres next Thursday (19).
The rapper, who is also the father of Rumi and Sir, with Beyoncé, is being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Diddy, his longtime friend and musical partner. The victim’s name was not released.
According to the American portal NBC News, the rape occurred in 2000, after the victim was taken to an “after” of the MTV Music Awards at Diddy’s house.
Jay-Z denies the allegations. In a note published on the profile of his company, Roc Nation, on X, he stated that lawyer Tony Buzbee, who filed several of the cases against Diddy, tried to blackmail him.
“These allegations are so heinous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Anyone who would commit such a serious crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” says the note. “My heart and support goes out to the real victims in the world,” he wrote.
P. Diddy has been in prison since September and faces multiple charges on suspicion of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, rape and coercion.
