Rodrigo Faro, 51, shared a video with his fans in which he appears dismantling the dressing room at Record. The presenter recalled important moments in his career while keeping memories of the Hora do Faro program and stated that he was already in a farewell mood.
In the images, the presenter appears taking some pictures and records off the walls, while a voice asks: “What are you doing, Faro?”. He then responds: “I’m keeping memories of ‘Dança, Gatinho’, which was here in my dressing room, on this panel. Oh, for example, Michael Jackson… there’s a little bit of my history, right? Then I’ll take it carefully to keep this with great care at home, right?”
The presenter announced, on December 5th, that he is leaving the network, after 16 years at home. In a statement posted on his social networks, Rodrigo Faro stated that he had an “incredible journey” at Record, but that the time has come to end this cycle.
According to Faro, he and Record decided, by mutual agreement, not to renew the contract: “It was a decision taken with a lot of reflection and with a heart full of gratitude. There were years of learning, challenges and achievements that I will carry with me forever”, he said . “This is not goodbye, but see you soon. I’m excited for the new challenges and projects to come. I’ll tell you the news soon,” he added.
