Alexandre Nero, 52, said he used “licit and illicit” drugs until the birth of his two children, Noá, 6, and Inã, 3. However, since becoming a father, he says he has been trying to “be a better person.”
“I stopped using all licit or illicit drugs, I exercise, I take care of food, I started to do serious analysis”, he revealed in an interview with the newspaper O Globo. “He was a very explosive guy, he had no patience with children, I started reading about pedagogy.”
“Professional and financial stability is the good side”, he evaluated. “The physical part is the worst. I started working out to hold my son in my lap, squatting down to play on the ground. I couldn’t. Full field football? No! Only half field (laughs).”
Still on paternity, the actor said that he had an emotional block for having lost his parents too soon. “I didn’t want to get involved, right? A son is an eternal bond and that has to do with the certainty of death, which I had very early on,” he said. “I always thought I was going to die at any moment or that the people I loved were going to die. I address that in analysis.”
In the interview, Nero also talked about the release of the song “A Particle”, on Friday (18), which honors Noá and Inã. It is the second single from the album “Quarto, Suítes, Meus Cômodos e Outros Nem Tanto”, scheduled to be released in April.
The actor also talked about the heartthrob label. “Today I think I’m more beautiful”, he confessed. “I had a really ugly adolescence. I avoid posting old photos because it’s inevitable that people will say, ‘Wow, but it’s much better today’. I think that’s cruel and rude. a former fat man who, if he fools around, gets a lot fat.”
