A photo from her wedding to René Angélil chose to share the Celine Dionon the occasion of the 30th anniversary they would have celebrated if he were still alive. Her caption, short but to the point: “You continue to fill our hearts, every day. You are everything to us. We miss you so much.”

Her music producer, agent and mentor died in 2016, aged 73, after a long battle with cancer.

The singer recently shared a bizarre detail from their wedding, which took place in 1994. The headpiece she wore, which was reportedly covered in 2,000 Swarovski crystals, weighed 7kg and was sewn onto her head on the day of the wedding to ensure that the tall, heavy ornament would not fall. Dion he explained that he thought he could make it.

“When you are happy, there is no burden, there is no problem, there is no pain.” Once, however, on the big day, she made her entrance into the church, her confidence was tested. “I start walking and I think “Will I make it?”

And indeed, he succeeded. She pushed any pain aside during the event telling herself that “everything is great, people are happy”, however, when she removed the headpiece that night, she noticed a cut on her head that had been created by the pressure. By morning, things were much worse. “The next day, I wake up, I look at myself in the mirror. I have a mole the size of an egg in the middle of my forehead. I then looked at my husband and said: “It’s too late now.” We are married”she joked herself.

René Angélil was more than a husband to Celine. He was her mentor, the man who discovered her, guided her and helped her become a global phenomenon. Although years have passed since his death, Celine continues to speak of him with love, saying: “Love never ends. I feel him every day close to me, in my heart and in the hearts of our children.”
