Alec Baldwinin a revealing interview with David Duchovny, stated that he intends to “reveal what really happened” around the fatal shooting of Halina Hutchins in 2021, during the filming of the film “Rust”.

The Hollywood star appeared on the actor’s podcast “Fail Better” shortly after the film premiered at the Camerimage festival in Poland and five months after he was acquitted by a New Mexico court of manslaughter charges, according to the Guardian.

When Duchovny asked him “what’s next,” Baldwin replied: “For now what will come is my attempt and it will undoubtedly be a successful attempt to highlight and reveal what really happened. I am now on the counterattack. Until now I was on the defensive.”

Baldwin he complained that the media sought to “finish” him. “They withheld any story that could benefit me and amplified any information that could harm me. This has been happening for three years. And the truth of what happened has never been told.”he said, adding: “Because in this country, when people hate you to this level, they want three things. They want you dead. They want you to go to jail…and they want to make you disappear, which is like being in jail or dead, as you roam the earth and…you’re invisible.”

“Rust” was completed in 2023, while an agreement was reached with Hutchins’ family to financially support her son. Despite accusations from Hutchins’ mother that Baldwin was “trying to profit” from the tragedy, the actor said he waived his fee and assigned his film rights to the filmmaker’s husband.

Finally, Baldwin thanked his wife Xilaria for her support, saying that “I owe everything to my wife.” At the same time, he expressed his optimism about his future in the entertainment industry. “I think, based on the communications I’ve had lately, things are picking up and I’m finding my way back to work. And I’m happy about that because I have seven children.”he added.
