Zanni is the dog we often see starring in his videos Michalis Hatzigianni on his Instagram profile. And it’s not just his. It’s hers too Zetas Makripoulias. The former couple found Zanni as a stray and adopted her while they were still together.

Actually many years back… Around 2011, in the early years of their relationship. Zeta Makripoulia herself has narrated on the show of Giorgos Daskalos “Like a dog with a cat”:

“I met Zani about three years ago in Evia, outside a tavern. It was a stray. It was a bit karmic how we met… My relationship with animals until I met Zani was typical… inside the house I was unfamiliar because of a fear I had and still have of all animals, which I cannot define, and of course cleanliness and everything my mom has put me through. As soon as I saw her I said “Ah, what a nice dog” and as soon as I said that, Michalis said “it’s now or never, we’ll get her, it’s over”. So I found myself with a dog and felt a love I had never felt before. I am very happy to have an animal now. She is a bit spoiled but I love her so much…”

Several years ago, after an operation on her spine, the dog never walked again, and in order to prevent Zeta and Michalis from being trapped, they turned to Vassilis Tzigoura, who is well-known in the circles of people involved in care of four-legged friends to make them a wheelchair for her. So Zanni regained the ability to go for walks without any problems despite her disability.

And they love her. Both. From 2021 until now, we had not seen Zanni with Zeta again (of course, she may have simply not shown her so as not to give fodder for comments), while on the contrary, the dog starred and often stars in Michalis Hatzigianni’s videos on Social media.

That is why we were very pleasantly surprised to see them both together again at the presenter’s place of origin on the shores of Lake Trichonida a few kilometers from her village, Potamoula Etoloakarnania.

Very recently the presenter spoke openly about their split for the first time in this way on the show “Weekenders” saying:

“I cannot find the words, nor describe what I felt, nor describe what I experienced, when we were together. It’s so high inside me, I can’t even describe the pain I experienced afterwards. I feel like no matter what I say I’ll be undermining everything. Even the magnitude of the pain. To learn to live apart is the most difficult thing I’ve experienced now, but I’m glad that we’ve managed to have a human contact and in a different way to care about each other” and apparently in this way the gold was found section for the….guardianship of Zanni. Or Zeta decided she didn’t care what anyone might assume seeing her with their dog.
