The Oscar-winning actress shared with 15 million to her online friends a picture of the horrors of the war in Syria as she tries to shift the spotlight from her personal life to her humanitarian work.
“Syria: Over 17 million people need help”underlined in insta story Jolie and added. “Syria has been decimated by nearly 14 years of conflict, displacement and economic deterioration. While the recent change in government brings an opportunity for a fresh start, millions of people still need help and basic needs are not being met.”
The information comes from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), an organization that defends displaced persons and their rights. The actress, known for her work as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, had worked with the NRC again, in Jordan and Yemen, as reported by the Daily Mail.
