The musical thriller “Emilia Perez” by Jacques Audiard, which tells the story of a Mexican drug lord who changes sex, won today the Golden Globe for her best foreign language film in 82nd Hollywood Awards.

The French director’s film, which won the jury prize at the Cannes festival, beat Brazil’s Walter Sales’ I’m Still Here and Iran’s Mohammad Rasoulov’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig.

The series that also swept with four Golden Globes was the historical drama “Shogun” on FX and Hulu, based on James Clavell’s influential 1975 novel. It won Best TV Drama, Best Actor in a TV Drama, Best Actor in a TV Series and Best Actress in a TV Series.

OR Demi Moore was awarded with Golden Globe for Best Actress in a comedy or musical for her performance in the film “The Substance” by French director Coralie Farza.

In the film, the 62-year-old American actress plays a Hollywood star whose star fades and becomes addicted to an elixir of youth, with destructive impulses.

Demi Moore beat transgender actress Carla Sofia Gascon (“Emilia Pérez”) and 25-year-old Mikey Madison (“Anora”).

OR Anna Sawai won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Drama.

The American-Romanian actor Sebastian Stan was awarded today with Golden Globe first male role in a comedy or musical for his performance in the film “A Different Man”.

He plays a man who is disfigured by facial tumors and agrees to undergo cosmetic surgery in order to pursue his dream of pursuing an acting career.

Sebastian Stan is also nominated for his portrayal of Donald Trump in ‘The Apprentice’.

THE Colin Farrell won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for his role as the classic Batman villain in “The Penguin.” This is Farrell’s fourth nomination and third win.

THE Hiroyuki Sanada won the award for the first male role in a television drama and Tananobu Asano of the second male role in a television series.

The American director Brady Corbett was awarded today with Golden Globe for his film “The Brutalists”.

The film tells the story of a Jewish architect who survived the Holocaust and moves to the US to pursue the “American dream”.

The “The Brutalist» won the Golden Globe for best picture in the drama category, scoring another win shortly after the star Adrien Brody won the best actor award in the category. The American actor plays a Jewish architect who survived the Holocaust and moves to the US to pursue the “American dream” and rebuild his life. 51-year-old Brody beat out Ralph Fiennes (“The Conclave”) and Timothee Salame (“A Perfect Stranger”).

Playing the powerful activist of the anti-dictatorship movement in Brazil, Fernanda Torres beat out Angelina Jolie (“Maria”) and Nicole Kidman (“Babygirl”).
