Karol G, a 33-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter known for her top reggaeton and Latin pop hits, became the first artist to top the Billboard 200 last year with a Spanish-language album.

Last July she completed her world tour to promote the album, titled Mañana Será Bonito, and her concert receipts totaled over $313 million, making her the biggest in Latin music history by a woman.

The singer recently announced that her life story will be the subject of a new Netflix documentary. “A story born of dreams that seemed impossible, fueled by unwavering faith,” she said in a post on social media. “My life. My job. My truth. My dream came true” notes the singer.

The documentary titled “A Story Born From Dreams” directed and produced by Christina Costantini is described as a portrait of the global music icon and the woman behind the singer.
