Former Brazilian national team and Real Madrid player, Roberto Carlos, 51, has been sleeping at the Spanish club’s training center. Current commentator for the Merengues team’s official TV, he is facing a legal fight over his fortune valued at R$1 billion, which includes real estate, advertising contracts and investments, after the end of his marriage with Mariana Luccon.
Married since 2009, they recently faced a crisis and decided to divorce. According to the Spanish portal Estadio Deportivo, Mariana remains in the former couple’s mansion in Madrid. The physiotherapist’s parents are now in the former full-back’s second home in the Spanish capital, which led to him staying temporarily at Real Madrid’s CT.
Roberto Carlos and Mariana Lucon are parents of two daughters: Manuela, 14, and Marina, 7. The former player, however, has nine other children, the result of other relationships and who are spread across the world.
The Real Madrid sports complex was opened in September 2005 and is located in Parque de Valdebebas. In a T-shaped building are the locker rooms, gyms, conference rooms, offices, swimming pools, medical center and press room. There are still two annexes that serve as hotels for athletes from the club’s football teams and other sports.
