In Karditsa his heart will beat amateur theater from 17 to 26 March 2022 as everything is ready to open its curtain 37th Panhellenic Amateur Theater Festival of Karditsa organized by the Association of Cultural Associations of the Prefecture.
The Festival is held in co-organization with the Region of Thessaly-Regional Unit of Karditsa, the Municipality of Karditsa, the Regional Union of Municipalities (PED) of Thessaly, the Chamber of Karditsa and with the support of the Holy Diocese of Thessaly and Fanariofer.
The 37th Panhellenic Festival of Amateur Theater of Karditsa, coinciding with the Ministry of Culture that declared 2022 the year of Iakovos Kampanellis, is dedicated to our leading playwright.
For ten days, Karditsa is expected to be at the center of nationwide interest with an event worthy of the prestige of the institution which is the longest lasting of its kind.
The visual on the cover of the program and the poster is by the painter, visual artist Kyriakos Katzourakis.

The renowned musician of improvised music and percussion Nikos Touliatos and the popular actor and musician Giannis Zouganelis collaborate.
Giannis Zouganelis is accompanied in the play by the composer Thalis Triantafyllou, Evanthia Kritikou in song and the musician & singer Alexandros Zouganelis.
In direct collaboration with Nikos Touliatos the Italian percussion performer of Mediterranean music Simone Mongelli!

• On Wednesday, March 16 at 12.30 p.m. The musician and comedian Giannis Zouganelis meets with the students of the 1st and 4th General Lyceums of Karditsa at the “Opsies” Theater to share his experience and discuss with them about the multifaceted talent of the artists.
• On Saturday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m. The actor Leonidas Kakouris meets with the teachers and theatrical fans of Karditsa at the “Opsies” Theater in a discussion about his involvement with theater and acting.
• On Monday, March 21 at 6.00 p.m. The set designer Antonis Chalkias and the academic Pavlos Kavouras educate in the Museum of the City of the Municipality of Karditsa the world of education and culture regarding “The Symbols” in theater and social anthropology.
• On Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. The journalist and visual artist Thanasis Lalas in the “Theatrical Stage of Karditsa” forges the portrait and transforms in theatrical terms his personal experience from biographical interviews with personalities of Greek and international art, on the topic: “Dialogue becomes a theatrical monologue.”
