Carnival 2025: Battery Queens bet on ‘natural aspect’ procedures

In addition to rehearsals, costumes and intensive training, preparations for Carnival also go through aesthetic offices. If before drum queens bet on more evident procedures, such as striking facial harmonizations, the trend now is different: valuing the “natural” beauty, without exaggeration, nothing that “screams” in the eyes of those who see them shining on the avenues.

“This year, the fashion between the drum queens is seeming that they did nothing. The more discreet, the better,” explains postoperative expert Gerson Leão, a beautician Muriel Quixaba, from Tatuapé Academics, and Theba Pitylla, from the Casa Verde Empire. According to him, the search for plastic surgery among celebrities is still on the rise, but the focus is on less invasive techniques.

The doctor Paola Telles also noticed an increase in demand for the “natural” in her aesthetic clinic. “Before, many procedures resulted in standardized faces. Today, the tendency is to highlight without exaggeration. The ideal is that they look at you and say, ‘Wow, how beautiful!’, Without noticing the procedures,” he explains. “It is sophistication naturally.”

To keep the skin firm and body carved without exaggeration, some techniques have stood out among the carnival muses. Learn below the most common:

Collagen biostimulation

The procedure is to stimulate the natural production of collagen on the skin, improving firmness and preventing sagging. Treatment can cost between $ 1,500 and $ 5,000 per session, depending on the chosen area.

Sabrina Sato, Queen of Gavião da Fiel (SP) and Unidos de Vila Isabel (RJ), is adept at treatment and does not give up him before the parade. “Sabrina does the stimulator in various areas of the body, but in Carnival we focus on the buttocks and inside of the thighs to ensure a natural effect and firm skin,” says dermatologist Alberto Cordeiro.

The doctor also serves Lorena Improta, Viradouro’s drum muse, and explains that the procedures were fundamental to treat sagging belly after the artist’s pregnancy. “My patients asked for a discreet result, nothing that was artificial. All will parade and the public will only know that they did something because I am counting,” he jokes.

Facial and Body Laser

Technology acts improving skin texture, providing a firmer and more uniform effect and melting localized fat. Treatment can be performed all over the body, including face, full abdomen, arms, thighs and buttocks, and the results appear in just one session. The average value of the procedure ranges from $ 1,800 to $ 5,000.

Karine Grum, Real Dragon Drum Queen, began doing laser sessions months before pre-carnival to ensure a lasting effect. Dr. Aline Justi, technical director of Clinica Meta Belle Facial and Body Harmonization, expert in the procedure, highlights her versatility. “Karine has made several methods with us for this carnival, all with a lot of encouragement to have the natural result they seek.”

In recent months, the procedure has become one of the darlings of Carnival, especially for the glute region. “It helps so much to burning fat and sagging. Muses also look for it to increase the butt naturally. We can rejuvenate all areas,” says Aline.

Microfacked ultrasound

Advanced technique softens wrinkles and expression lines without surgery. The procedure is suitable for face and body, helping in the muscle definition. The average treatment value ranges from $ 2,000 to $ 6,000 per session.

On social networks, Erika Januza, Unidos do Viradouro’s drum queen, does not hide her passion for treatment. The actress and model performs the microfacked ultrasound at the Rio Arte Dermatology and Aesthetics Clinic and bet on the technique for the abdomen region.

“Preparation for Carnival requires a lot of the body, so these procedures are essential to keep everything up to date,” Erika shared with her followers. In addition to improving the appearance of the belly, she points out that treatment has been critical to strengthening the legs and muscle definition, helping her to shine on the avenue.

Electromagnetic waves

Technology has gained space between carnival muses by increasing muscles without the need for physical exertion, acting through stimulation that causes muscle contractions, helping to tone buttocks, abdomen and thighs. The average treatment value varies between R $ 1,500 and R $ 5,000 per session.

Viviane Araújo, Queen of Spot Verde (SP) and Salgueiro’s battery (RJ), uses the procedure frequently before the parades. Samba actress and muse invests in technology to keep the body firm and defined.

“She is about to turn 50 and wanted a treatment that guaranteed a natural and rejuvenated aspect. I proposed something that would not alter her features, but make her skin healthier. We worked facial contour, the sagging of the papada and muscle strengthening, as well as improving the quality of body tissues for the makeup of the parade,” explains Dr. Christiane Gonzaga.

Combined therapies for body definition

To ensure a carved and swelling body, many battery queens resort to a set of techniques that combine lymphatic drainage, ozone therapy, thermal blanket and glute silicone insertion to increase volume. They are famous for acting on different fronts, reducing liquid retention, combating cellulite and better defining muscles. The average value can range from $ 2,000 to $ 5,500 per session.

Muriel Quixaba, Queen of Tatuapé Academics (SP), and Theba Pitylla, Queen of the Empire of Casa Verde (SP), make a point of including these procedures in preparing for the parades. Each has its own personalized strategy: while Theba focuses on strengthening the butt and abdominal definition, Muriel bets on ozone therapy and drainage to keep the body carved.

“They drain with me two, three times a week. It helps to eliminate retained liquids and leaves the body lighter. Theba makes a lot of thermal blankets and silicone in the buttocks for a contoured buttless butt. Muriel lives on ozone and drainage to keep everything in place,” explains beautician Gerson Leão.

In addition to body definition, another trend among the muses of Carnival 2025 is the removal of exaggerated fillings. According to Leo, many queens are removing hyaluronic acid to bet on a more subtle and natural beauty.
