Selton Mello was sure of the victory of “I’m Still HERE” at Oscar 2025. The actor, who followed the awards of the Dolby Theater audience in Hollywood, posted a video of the moment the international film award is announced. “Brazil at the top, we made history,” he celebrated.

Moments before the honor, the actor is apparently quiet and points to the stage when the winner will be released. “The tranquility of those who were feeling, while my beloved Daniela Thomas almost fainted,” joked in the video caption, referring to the associated producer of the film, which appears beside him in the image.

When the victory of “I’m still here” is confirmed, he gets up and embraces Daniela. Only later does it follow the scream of other people present.

“Brazil at the top as it should be, our Brazilian cinema finally has an Oscar,” he said in Stories. “The first Oscar we never forget,” he added.

Selton plays Rubens Paiva in the feature. It is the revoked deputy who disappears after being detained by agents of the military dictatorship, leaving the wife, Eunice Paiva, lived by Fernanda Torres, and her children.
