One of Shakespeare’s most beautiful and popular works – and a project for the Athens College thanks to the performance directed 89 years ago by then English Professor Karolos Koun with the participation of students – the famous “Dream of the Summer Night” this year.

On the 100th anniversary of the founding of the College, SAKA participates in the celebration, honoring the top Charles Koun, who uploaded in 1936 with great success with students, at the Spirit Theater, the “Summer Night Dream”.

On the one hand, love, power, society and the laws of people, and on the other, nature with its elements and its own laws, are knitting together and dragging the viewer into a magical world, where they dream and reality blend into a fairytale and often comical blend.

Having his own relationship with the work, the director, along with Vana Pefani, of this year’s show, Costas Arzoglou, in 1996 uploaded the work to the Athens College Theater, with professional actors, honoring Charles Koun as the 70th anniversary celebrations.

College graduates celebrate their school’s one century with a magical journey into a fairytale world where no one knows where reality ends and where the dream begins.

The performances will run from March 7th to 11th at the Athens College Theater. Part of the proceeds will be supported by the Athens College Program.

The dream of a summer night is a project for the Athens College, which closes 100 years since its founding.
