Starting from the Bosphorus, we know Greeks who have sought a new life there and over the years have become one with the 2,000 remaining Romans and we meet people who insist on keeping the Greek language, habits, customs, and especially the memory of their ancestors. We cross the bridges that unite the East with the West and sit on the desks alongside the younger members of the minority but also next to adult Turks who have chosen to learn Greek. We enter the offices of the two homogenous newspapers that record the history of a century.

We visit the iconic Halki and talk to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the present and the future of the cradle of Orthodoxy.
