From funk to nostalgia: know the songs that pumped during the carnival at Tiktok

Summer and Carnival of 2025 were marked by a mixture of new hits and nostalgia in Tiktok. The platform, known for boosting musical trends, saw recent tracks bursting as Brazilian music classics came to life again among users.

During the hot season, DJ LK’s “Bonde das Oncinhas” tram, was the most widely used sound in creations, following viralizing choreography. The ranking also featured “Porsche Azul” by Felipe Beats, Zé Felipe and Vitor daslent’s, and Léo Foguette’s “Forbidden Copy”, closing the top 3.

Among the artists with a strong presence on the platform, Pedro Sampaio and Marina Sena swallowed “building stairs” in 6th place, while Anitta, alongside MC Danny and Hitmaker, secured 8th position with “I know you hate me”. But nostalgia also had space: “Alliance” of the tribalists, and Ritchie’s “Poison Girl” were rediscovered by the community and closed the top 10 of summer.

In all, the 10 most popular tracks of the period accumulated more than 20 billion views between December and February, consolidating Tiktok as one of the main musical windows of the moment.

#Hitsdoverao: Carnival also had its favorites

During the holiday, Scotland’s DJ LK returned to the top with Kew’s “Descend”, leading creations on the platform. The axé was also present, with Ivete Sangalo appearing between the highlights with “hot energy” and “The World Go”.

Anitta continued to dominate the platform, letting again “I know you hate me” among the most used songs on holiday. Tradition was also present with “Oberta Alas”, iconic marchinha that returned to viralize among the carnival videos.

“I am very happy that our songs have reached the top of summer and carnival. It is very gratifying to see our work grow like this,” celebrated DJ LK from Scotland.

Carol Moreira, relationship leader with Tiktok artists and creators in Brazil, also stressed the impact of the platform on music. “Tiktok has the power to create trends that reflect on the streets. We saw recent tracks, such as ‘I know you hate me’, and classics such as ‘Poison Girl’, meeting in trends, showing that the app is a space where different genres and times coexist.”
