Prince William wore combat costume to visit British troops in Estonia on Friday (21), on a trip to reinforce England’s support for NATO Operations in Eastern Europe.
William, heir to King Charles 3rd’s British throne and eldest son, was on the plane field, about 200 km from the Russian border, inspecting infantry combat vehicles and walking in a tank wearing a camouflaged complete military uniform.
The United Kingdom has about 900 soldiers in Estonia and Poland as part of “Operation Cabrit”, the British contribution to the expansion of NATO forces in the eastern wing of the alliance after the Ukraine invasion of Russia.
The prince’s two -day visit took place while the United Kingdom and other European allies increase defense spending in response to US President Donald Trump’s calls for other NATO nations to contribute more to Europe’s security.
William was photographed in front of barbed wires and yellow smoke feathers while watching a trench cleaning exercise.
He also supervised a commanding ceremony of the Royal Dragoon Guards, which has just completed their mission on slap for the Terminian regiment, which is starting its six -month tour. He is a chief colonel of the regiment.
“From field training to the operation of weapons systems, this mission is fundamental! It’s amazing to see the dedication and expertise of our troops in action,” said William’s office at Kensington Palace at X.
The symbolic visit was William’s first trip to the Baltic State. Two years ago, he visited British soldiers in Poland that were involved in providing support for Ukraine.
He will talk to the soldiers about their experiences of being on mission and discussing mental well-being with army welfare support officers.
