The soap opera “Chiquititas”, originally aired between 2013 and 2015 by SBT, returned to the center of attention this week. It all started after actress Julia Gomes, who played villain Marian, stating in an interview with the “Hora doTe” podcast that she was excluded from her colleagues during the recordings.

“At the time it was very difficult for me. I thought I would make friends, since they were all children too. But they excluded me. Today I am at peace with it, but at the time it was very painful,” said the actress, currently 23. She entered the soap opera almost a year after her debut, and her statements quickly generated reactions on social networks and between former cast members.

One of the first to answer was Gabriella Saraivah, 20, who gave life to the character Tati. The actress countered her former colleague’s lines and said Julia’s behavior behind the scenes was not welcoming. “It’s easy to make a victim and not tell what she was doing not to be loved. Certain attitudes were not cool, and not everyone could highlight. But today I see that she has changed,” he said in a video posted on social networks – which was then erased.

The actress also reported episodes in which Julia would have made offensive comments about her colleagues. “Once she asked where one of the girls was from. When she heard the answer, she let go, ‘Wow, what a poor thing. Mine are from the United States,'” he recalled. According to Saraivah, this kind of attitude ended up driving her group away.

Another that entered the controversy was Anna Livya Padilha, who lived the character Janu. In response, she said she had to do therapy with the cast psychologist after being humiliated by Julia. “Movered from my clothes, said it was ‘poor’. I didn’t even know what branded clothes were. That shirt was a gift from my mother. I was very bad at the time,” he said.

Amanda Furtado, interpreter of the Laura doll, also decided to comment on the matter. In her profile, she shared a similar experience and recalled an episode where she heard from her colleague she shouldn’t touch her cell phone, as “she would have no money to buy another if she broke.” Despite the uncomfortable memory, Amanda pointed out that everyone matures over time.

After the repercussion of the reports, Julia Gomes decided to speak up on social networks: “At that time, we were all only children, we react with impulsivity and little maturity. Each one lived in his own way, with his pain and perceptions. Every story has more than one side.”

While behind the scenes of the children’s soap opera get a new chapter on social networks, fans and followers share opinions. @laisfreitasofc wrote: “I’m sad to see so many people diminishing what Julia felt. If she went through this, she has all the right to talk. Silencing this kind of experience only perpetuates the same cycle.”

Already @lucasribeiro_8 commented: “It looks more like a try to draw attention than a real outburst. Just remembered now? Strange.” Fernanda Pereira criticized: “complaining about exclusion, but does not remember her own behavior at the time. Girls are right to want to defend themselves.”
