Water Routes: Water from nature to myth and city

The value of water in every manifestation of life, from survival to broader prosperity and growth, is incalculable over time. It is a social good, with cultural, political, religious and economic implications, completely intertwined with human history. On the occasion of specific exhibits of the Acropolis Museum, exhibited in its permanent collections both in the building and archaeological excavation at its base, under the guidance of an archaeologist, it is sought to imprint the ancient perception of water and unfold its different aspects and especially its close interconnection. Through works of art and archaeological residues are presented the human anxieties, beliefs, doctrines, but also the answers and practical solutions to achieve well -being, through the perspective of divine and human, individual and collective, in the context of the city. An ancient family had linked all her life with a beautiful house in this neighborhood, next to the famous Acropolis. There they lived beautiful, happy and unpleasant moments. Many memories! But time has erased it all. Many years later, the archaeologists who excavated here brought to light what was left of it and called it G. We could we live with this fantastic family some moments of the past?

A virtual journey to spacetime brings their children and guardians to the archaeological excavation under the museum.

Participants with their imagination and observation assistant, under the guidance of the archaeologist, to seek and gather the necessary information to help the family from the past find her favorite rooms and objects again. Once the search is completed then the game begins at the museum’s training center.
