Camila Queiroz celebrates ten years of career on TV and says that ‘Secret Truths’ was a milestone

The year 2025 marks an important date for actress Camila Queiroz, 31. Exactly a decade, the model, born in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, started on TV in the skin of one of the most remembered roles of her career: the model Angel, who prostituted herself in “Secret Truths” (Globo).

“She definitely marked my career,” he says. Camila says it was not easy to interpret her, but the result made her more than satisfied. “What was in me was courage, strength and pride.” Walcyr Carrasco’s plot won the International Emmy in the best soap opera category in 2016.

The work in “truths” had a high erotic voltage and, because of this, the artist says she still sees some people hypersexualize her image for what they saw on the screen. She says she knows how to deal with it.

“I try to focus on my work as an actress and not attach me to the image that people have of me. Fame brings good, very good things, and in my case I can say more good things than bad. The important thing is to know who you are and not get carried away by everything that is said.”

In the last decade, other works marked the actress’s trajectory. Among them the one held in the soap opera “êta Mundo Bom!”, Also authored by Carrasco. The story is expected to win a new version at the end of the first half. According to her, despite the “huge and eternal affection” that says it has the narrative initially displayed in 2016, there was no hit for the continuation.

The role of the naive girl Mafalda earns even more Camila’s heart because she was at that time she met “The Love of Life” and today husband, Klebber Toledo, 38. He didn’t agree to relive the character Romeo either. In the soap opera, the redneck girl asked him to show the “stab”. The phrase became popular staff on the streets of Brazil.

Parallel to this is “Fatal Beauty”, a soap opera of which Camila was part in a double dose (Characters Sofia and Julia) and whose HBO streaming audience yielded very well. From the beginning, she says, the cast, direction and production knew they had an excellent product in their hands, but success surprised.

“We didn’t imagine this whole proportion, things took a size that surprised us every day. I was very happy with that, really. I think the public is, along with the market, understanding these new possibilities for art.”
