Boring tests, beat dynamics, extreme advertising … What went wrong in BBB 25?

BBB 25 comes to an end on Tuesday (22) with more bad ratings than good. Unlike what happened in previous years, the program did not puncture the bubble. In the streets, it is difficult to find those who comment on the events of the program. On social networks, netizens point to edition as one of the warmest of all time.

And it is not just an empirical observation. The audience numbers reflect the low of interest in the attraction. In Greater São Paulo, the country’s main advertising market, BBB closes this year with an average of 16 points (each point equals 199 thousand viewers). It is the worst mark in the history of the reality show.

But then, what went wrong in this edition? You can’t deny that Rodrigo Dourado, rookie director of Globo’s reality shows core, struggled to propose new dynamics when the situation was stopped and nothing happened in the groups.

However, “Novo Boninho” has sought with a warm cast – for what production is not fully guilty – which did not make a point of surprising the audience with bold strategies within the game. Almost everything was done by them in a boring way and “just for the record”.

Check out five factors below that may be driving the audience away from reality.

Everything is predictable

After 25 editions of the program, the dynamics became predictable. After the Big Fone first rang, participants started on duty next to the phone, on the probable days and times he could ring. They almost always got it right.

Turbo Week, where there is more than one wall formation and more than one elimination, was foreseen several times by Daniele Hypolito. The beginning and end of the leader’s parties were also guessed by those in the house. After so much accompanying edition after edition, just do the math.

The few news of the season were the “barred at the ball,” where the leader vetoed someone from his party until that person could do a task, and his Fifi’s showcase, which ironically seems to have been a preview of the program final in advance.

Proof or publish?

These days were the days when agility, strategy or resistance were the protagonists and it was exciting to watch the leader’s evidence in the BBB. Now, what matters most about disputes is to display the great logos, jingles and slogans of the advertisers.

BBB advertising is Globo’s gold mine, which earned more than $ 650,000 even before the program started. Fact. But it is a hardness the name of the sponsor being the only thing we can understand in the confusing explanations of the evidence.

There were even some difficult disputes, which demanded very physically from the participants, but there were also evidence that bordered the ridiculous, in which all that mattered was to jump over large ingredients of a big Mac.

Where’s my contract?

The parties, by the way, were also dominated by the brands. Often, it seemed that participants were more interested in securing an advertising contract after the program. Nothing against it, but it is boring to prioritize jingle choreography to sincere discussions.

And it’s not just at parties that they flee with conflicts. In the post-Karol Conka era, the vast majority of participants try not to commit much to anything, fear of the image they will have outside the house when they leave the confinement. For those who want to live as “publi”, it is more worth leaving early, but not canceled, than winning the prize.

It was never a strategy, it was always luck

Much is charged to participants that they are smart, create strategies and play using their heads, not the heart. However, some program dynamics simply do not favor who does it. Battleship tests are the greatest example.

After a week of joints, you may have been the genius who put the whole house to vote for who you wanted, but in the end you will have to tell you with luck. Was 20 votes, but chose the right door? You are free and still get a toast from the sponsor.

By the end of the triple wall

Another dynamic that has already expired was the triple wall model. As much as there are three people that can be eliminated, the dispute is always concentrated between two stronger third -party players, usually a person who is not involved in clashes, is aside, receiving few votes.

This is how participants considered “plants,” such as Daniele Hypolito, Maike, Joselma, Vilma and even Diego Hypolito were saved – with very small percentages – from some walls, before being eliminated.
