Difficult not to remember Gal Gadot when we talk about cinema heroines. The Israeli actress, who turns 40 on Thursday (30), won the world with her charisma and strength by giving life to the wondering woman on the big screen-paper that turned her into a symbol of female empowerment and global success.
Prior to fame in Hollywood, Gal was already outstanding to become Miss Israel at the age of 18 and serving as a combat instructor in the defense forces, a detail that would help shape the physical strength of his characters in the cinema. Determined, he even studied law before migrating to the artistic career.
His first prominent role was like Gisele in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, but she was debuting as Princess Amazona in “Batman vs. Superman” (2016) that her name became an international phenomenon. Success led her to protagonism in “Wonder Woman” (2017) and then in several other action productions.
Outside the screens, the actress leads a more reserved life. She has been married since 2008 to businessman Jaron Varsano and mother of four girls. She also acts as a producer and often uses her visibility to highlight social causes, such as the appreciation of women and the memory of the Holocaust.
Due to his political positions, Gal has faced controversy, especially for expressing support for Israel during conflicts in the Middle East, which generated criticism and boycott of his films in some countries.
His latest production was Disney’s live-action of “White of Snow”, where he played the role of bad queen and also faced negative comments on social networks. Check out these and other curiosities in the gallery above.
