Lady Gaga translator is an employee of Copacabana Palace and was chosen by singer

In one of the most exciting moments of the Lady Gaga show, which took place in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday (3), the singer read a letter she made to Brazilian fans about how they expected more than ten years for her.

The letter was read in Portuguese by a translator. But it was not an official interpreter. And yes an employee of the Copacabana Palace hotel, where Lady Gaga has stayed in recent days.

These are Nicolas Rafael Garcia, a young man who works in the relationship area with the VIP guests of the luxurious carioca hotel and helped Gaga have a good stay in Rio de Janeiro.

Graduated in Hospitality from UFRRJ (Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro), Nicolas began as a young apprentice on site, climbing spaces until officially hired.

On his social networks, Nicolas has just over 3,000 followers and shares photos about his daily life at Copacabana Palace.

The report found that it was Lady Gaga herself who chose Nicolas to translate to Portuguese what she meant to Brazilians. His participation was promptly authorized by his superiors.

2.1 million people watched the show in Rio de Janeiro. The last time Lady Gaga performed in Brazil was in 2012. In 2017, she canceled her participation in Rock in Rio because of fibromyalgia.

The singer thanked the fans for the wait in the letter translated by Nicolas. “I would have come back before, if I could. It will always mean a lot to me the way you sent me such beautiful messages and were so kind to me, wanting me to come back here,” he said.

“My heart is overflowing. I feel lucky, proud and deeply grateful. Today we are making history, but we are not making history alone. Without you, the amazing people of Brazil, I would not have this moment. Thanks for making history with me,” he concluded.
