Most striking is that of the 86,000 albums promoted, in the first week of Skeletá release, 89% of the total came from traditional album sales, including 44,000 vinyl copies.

According to Billboard, with the sale of 44,000 copies, the band has been breaking the sales record within a week for a hard rock album in the modern era (since 1991).

At the same time, the band takes third place in the list of best vinyl sales in the modern era of any rock album in a week, with Blink-182’s “One More Time …” (49,000 in 2023) and Boygenius’s “The Record” (45,000 in 2023).

“Skeletá” is the first hard rock album to reach No. 1 on Billboard 200 from 2020 when AC/DC reached the top of the chart with “Power Up”. In terms of rock releases, Coldplay’s “Moon Music” was the latest album that reached the top of the Chart in October 2024.

The Ghost is a Swedish rock band created in Links in 2008.

“Skeletá” is the band’s ninth album that entered the Chart Billboard 200. The band was first found the list in 2013 with its second album, “Infestissumam”, which also marked its first to enter the top 40, reaching No. 28.
