Known for lyrics that criticize the marginalization of blacks and claim a fairer society, rapper Minas Gerais Djonga was one of the attractions of the 8th SIM Award to Racial Equality, carried out by ID_BR (Institute Equities of Brazil) on Wednesday night (7), in Rio de Janeiro.
Invited to take pictures, give interviews and talk to fans during the moment of the event, the artist talked about the feeling of being at a party that celebrates blackness.
“We are these guys that people are used to portraying as ‘the guys of suffering’, who suffered and catches. But today I arrive here and feel a different joy, because I see a person who may have suffered a lot in life, most likely suffered discrimination [racial]but who is also a winner, got it? ” F5.
The artist pointed out around and cited the beauty of guests and personalities present in the award. “Everyone is hugging those who love, hand in hand with those who love, is at the time of celebration. So, so, it is a totally different wave, totally ours,” he said.
According to him, his interaction with fans and colleagues was more affectionate than other events he participates in. “Many times people are in a posture of ‘Does I get close to him to give a hug?’. Here we want to let the feeling come out. It’s another stop, similarity. That’s right,” he compared.
The 8th SIM Award ceremony to racial equality will be aired on the 25th, after Fantástico at Globo.
