Anitta, 28, has received support from fans since she joined the Top 20 most listened to songs on Spotify last week with “Envolver”.
The singer, who reached the top of the list on Friday (25th) with the help of the campaign made by fans, took to Twitter on Thursday (24th) to ask them to have the same commitment in the presidential elections that take place this year.
“Oh my Godsssss. I want that same effort to get the bolsonaro huh Brasiiiiilll”, wrote Anitta. On Wednesday (23), she had also spoken about the matter on the same social network: “So now this is it, did you ask for a photo when you found me somewhere? If you’re over 16, I only take a photo if I have a photo of the voter registration”, he wrote.
In addition to her, other artists and celebrities such as LuÃsa Sonza, Juliette Freire and even Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo have used their social networks to encourage people over 16 to take their voter registration so they can participate in the elections scheduled for October.
The informal and spontaneous campaign led by the artists takes place after the Superior Electoral Court, TSE, registered the smallest number of 16 and 17 year olds with voter registration in history. If in 2018, the year of the last presidential elections, this number was 1.4 million people in February, this year only 830,000 individuals in the age group took the document in the same month.
