An incredible story was revealed during a debate in BFI, London, when Tom Cruise referred to films that marked his career and told the story of his accidental meeting with Dustin Hoffman in a New York restaurant.

It was in 1984 and Cruise had just finished shooting Ridley Scott’s “Legend”. He had returned to the United States of America to visit KAS’s sister, who found Hoffman on the other end of the restaurant who was sitting with Cruise.

Hoffman – who at that time starred in the play “The Death of the Trader” – was in the restaurant to order food food.

Despite the young Cruise’s refusal to reach the legendary actor, Ms insisted.

As the famous actor typically said, his sister then put him an ultimatum: If he did not do so, he would take over to introduce himself to Hoffman and inform him of his identity.
