Janet Jackson She will make her first television appearance after nearly a decade, on stage at the 51st awards ceremony of the American Music Awards on May 26th.

The CBS has announced that Janet Jackson will also receive the Indalma Award, which is “awarded to an artist whose music has undoubtedly cultural and global influence on the music industry” according to a press release.

The Instalma Award has been awarded twice, at Rihanna in 2013 and Lionel Ricci in 2022.

The awards ceremony will take place in Las Vegas at the Fontainebleu Hotel and will be broadcast by CBS and Paramount+. Jennifer Lopez will be a host of the night honoring the musicians who stood out in America last year.

Cereic Lamar is a nominee for ten possible awards, while Post Malone could possibly win eight titles. Billy Ailis, Chapel Runny and Shampuzi have seven nominations each.

Janet Jackson released her A&M debut album. A total of ten hits arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and seven albums on No. 1 on Billboard 200. Jackson has won five Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song, along with many MTV Music Music Music Awards.
