Informing the loss of Nikos Galanou, Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni made the following statement:

I was sadly informed of the loss of Nikos Galanos, who closes a six -decade creative career on the board, big and small screen. Nikos Galanos became known for his leading roles in films of the late phase of the edge of commercial Greek cinema to excel on television. He was fairly loved by the audience, who saw in his face one of the timeless screen stars.

His recognition, however, has prevented him from unfolding his undoubted hypocritical qualifications on stage, in a wide range of demanding roles, from the whole spectrum of the repertoire. His exterior appearance and innate charm has always been combined with his dedication to art, the constant cultivation of his expressive means, but also the search and achievement of hypocritical maturity to shape a protagonist who leaves a distinct imprint on both art and art.

To his family, his friends and his colleagues, I have a sincere condolences.
